Wine & Glass pairing: Riesling Wine Glass
Midalidare recommends the Riesling Wine Glass for the following wines PGI Thracian Lowlands, Mogilovo: Midalidare Riesling
Riesling glasses are both taller and narrower than Chardonnay glasses. The taller, tapered design of the glass concentrates the fruity aromas in the upper portion of the bowl, and the long stem keeps the wine chilled. Riesling glass is smaller overall, including a smaller rim, which guides wine towards the center and the back of the mouth to avoid overwhelm from the sweetness. The Riesling glass is perfect for moderating the high acidity and residual sugar of fruit-forward white wines. It helps to balance the fresh characters and high mineral components, emphasizing the wonderful fruit aromas.
Riesling glass is perfect for: Riesling (including Bulgarian Riesling), Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Lagrein, Zinfandel/Primitivo, Montepulciano, Vernaccia, Dolcetto, Teroldego, Riesling Smaragd, Riesling Spätlese (late harvest dry), Scheurebe, Blauer Portugieser, and the wines of Bardolino, Côtes de Provence, Côtes du Rhône Rose, Alsace Grand Cru, Beaujolais Nouveau, Marsannay Rose, Jurançon Sec, Schilcher, Mosel-Saar-Ruwer.
At Midalidare we had chosen Riedel glasses, exclusively represented in Bulgaria by our valuable partner The Gourmet House.
